Leadership development and Green Movement Workshop held in Manikganj

A day-long skills development workshop was held recently in Manikganj, focusing on organizational management, leadership development, and the effective operation of Green Coalition committees. The initiative aimed to strengthen grassroots organizations, foster capable leadership, and accelerate environmentally sustainable social movements.

The workshop featured interactive discussions, presentations, and question-answer sessions. Key topics included the importance of strong organizational structures, the role and qualities of effective leadership, and the concept and activities of the Green Coalition. Trainers from BARCIK shared practical field experiences, highlighting strategies for managing organizations and mobilizing communities.

Participants learned that strong community-based organizations play a crucial role in ensuring rights and promoting sustainable development. Leadership was described as the ability to inspire, guide, and unite people toward common goals. The Green Coalition was presented as a participatory platform bringing together farmers, youth, women, and conscious citizens to work on environmental protection, safe food production, and biodiversity conservation.

The workshop concluded with participants emphasizing the need for greater awareness, youth engagement, regular training, and stronger local networks. They expressed commitment to applying their learning and expanding the green movement collectively.
